Kumon Kokusai Junior/Senior High School (KKG) is a co-educational private school unique in that it has no set school uniform or school rules. Although the six-year curriculum is conducted in Japanese, the school emphasizes international understanding and has a high percentage of returnee students and students with foreign citizenship within it's student population of around 1000 boys and girls. The features of the school include:

• A large University-style campus that is divided into three sections. Each section houses two grades.
• A dormitory catering to students from all over Japan.
• A multi-level English programme designed to fulfill the needs of all students from beginners to the most fluent speakers. There are five full-time native speakers in the English department.
• A curriculum supported by the Kumon Study Method which allows students to advance at their own pace.
• An active student body responsible for large portions of school life.
• Activities for international understanding including Japan's first international Model United Nations Programme and overseas project tour.
