2018 Singapore MUN Report

A group of students recently returned from a successful trip to attend the THIMUN Singapore Model United Nations Conference. The group of 17 Kumon Kokusai students had spent several months researching a wide array of issues and consolidating their work in the form of written draft resolutions. The group spanned a mix of MUN experience selected from junior high school second grade through high school second grade but each student made a worthy contribution to conference discussion and debate, extending numerous speeches, questions and amendments throughout the week. One of the senior Kumon students presided over the General Assembly 3rd Committee on Humanitarian, Cultural and Social issues and another highlight was an evening visit from a KKG and MUN Alumnus who is currently working at a major investment bank in Singapore. His friendly support and knowledgeable advice were much appreciated and gave a surprise bonus to an already rewarding trip.
