The King's School

April has certainly been a busy month for international exchange at Kumon. More than seven schools from six countries visited to take part in cultural exchange events.

On the 16th of April, Kumon welcomed 28 students from The King's School in Sydney Australia for a two night and three day program where they stayed in our dormitory and took part in classes and after school clubs. The students were all members of the school's rugby team who were touring Japan.

In keeping with the school's reputation as one of the top schools in Australia, the King's School students were gracious gentlemen and enthusiastically took part in English classes with the sometimes shy Kumon students.

They also showed a very positive attitude when taking part in Japanese cultural activities, which included kendo, tea-ceremony and calligraphy. As can be seen from the video, the kendo session became especially lively.

Kumon hopes to host more King's School students in the future.
