On Saturday, November 21st, three high school students (Yuki Sakamoto, Shinya Hanaoka, and Soto Hongo) participated in the science event "Science Agora 2020" sponsored by JST (Japan Science Technology Agency). Together with students from Iwate Prefecture Kamaishi High School and Kagoshima Prefectural Kokubun High School, they participated in the online workshop called, "Let's draw a bright and prosperous zero-emission society". The team gave a presentation about CO2 reduction and life in the future.
The team emphasized the need for change from a society reliant on fossil fuels and mass consumption to one that promotes a lifestyle that values the nature around us and lives in harmony with it.
After presentations by each school, lively discussions took place, and our team enthusiastically asked questions to other schools.
