On July 28th, our school’s Japanese Tea Ceremony Club hosted around 20 American students for a special cultural exchange event. The visiting students were taking part in a two-week study tour aimed at experiencing Japanese culture firsthand.
On the day, the guests not only enjoyed beautifully crafted seasonal Japanese sweets but also saw several of their fellow students wearing traditional kimonos, which added to the authentic atmosphere.
Some members of our Tea Ceremony Club are fluent in English and were able to explain the history, etiquette, and meanings behind each gesture in the ceremony. Thanks to their efforts, it was a highly educational and fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
Surrounded by smiles and warm exchanges, the event was a great success and may well become an annual tradition in the future.
