Expression Festival
Expression Festival
Because this is an event for each individual student to express themselves, our school uses the name "Expression Festival" (Hyougensai) instead of a traditional cultural festival (Bunkasai). First, a planning committee is established, and then the students manage the operations through the executive committee, led by the chairperson. Just like the Sports Day, we have inherited this event created since the school's founding, passing it down while refining parts that require improvement. The events at Kumon Kokusai Gakuen are constantly evolving.
The defining characteristic of our Expression Festival is that it serves as a "venue for expression by the students." Through "exhibit planning," "theatrical plays," "movies," and "musical performances," everyone applies their own originality and ingenuity to express themselves. Unlike cultural festivals at other schools, there are no food stalls or booths. Students up to the 11th grade participate in class projects. Furthermore, those who wish can take part in projects organized by club activities or form voluntary groups with like-minded peers to engage in instrument performances, choruses, or dance. There are also exhibits and presentations for "Interest Studies," "Japanese Culture Experience," and "Project Studies," alongside displays of independent research projects and school consultation booths for prospective applicants.
