Japanese Language & Literature

While cultivating rich reading comprehension, thinking abilities, and expressive skills, we strive to nurture students who truly "treasure words." In addition to traditional lecture-style classes, we introduce a wide variety of approaches, including composing original poetry, classical literature recitation, dramatic reading aloud, and the Kanji Proficiency Test. While remaining mindful of the specific characteristics of each educational material, we cultivate proactive attitudes for "thinking," "reading," "listening," "writing," and "speaking."

Throughout our courses, we place great value on fundamental basics, laying the groundwork for students to think independently, create their own culture, and understand and accept diverse cultures.

Mathematics

Mathematics

Studying mathematics cultivates the ability to think deeply and logically, observe the relationships between things, and draw versatile inspirations and creative ideas from them. Achieving this requires the competency to accurately grasp and process core reference materials—such as numbers, facts, and constraints—from within a given context.

Starting from the 7th grade, we introduce small-group, graded classes tailored to the academic proficiency of the students. By respecting student autonomy, we develop lessons that directly correspond to individual abilities, interests, and desired career paths.

Furthermore, to build strong study habits and capabilities, 7th and 8th graders focus on cultivating foundational strengths and self-study skills. This is achieved not only through regular classes but also through the mathematics curriculum of the Kumon Method after-school learning program.

English

English

Our academy draws together students with a wide variety of backgrounds and prior experience in English. Therefore, starting from the 7th grade, we organize small-group, multi-tiered classes based on students' pre-enrollment English backgrounds, ensuring everyone can expand their English proficiency efficiently. For students learning English for the very first time, we make the process approachable and enjoyable. For returnee students who already possess high-level English capabilities, we push to advance their skills even further. Japanese faculty members and six native English-speaking teachers collaborate closely to conduct lessons that build a well-balanced command of "reading," "listening," "writing," and "speaking."

Social Studies

Social Studies

Rather than focusing classes solely on rote knowledge acquisition, we incorporate a diverse array of innovative methods to make learning engaging. These include group learning and inquiry-based modules where students examine and resolve questions together, as well as hands-on field work where they leave the classroom with maps in hand to conduct local geographical surveys. For interested students, we also organize social studies field excursions several times a year to study locations of high historical and geographical value firsthand.

Through these classes, we hope students learn about the mechanics of modern society, global climates, environments, cultures, and the lives of those who strove to survive throughout past eras, ultimately growing into individuals who can reflect deeply on their own paths in life.

Science

Science

In the Junior High School division, our primary focus is to help students notice the fascinating diversity and underlying mechanisms of the natural world, sparking a genuine scientific curiosity. To support this, we provide frequent opportunities for experiments and observations, placing great value on lessons where students can look, touch, and experience concepts firsthand.

In the Senior High School division, we build upon these principles with advanced content. We structure a curriculum that accommodates a broad range of elective courses tailored to each student's unique interests, encouraging a proactive approach to their studies. Additionally, we host cutting-edge advanced science lab workshops every year.
